Design Director / Senior Interior Designer

Singapore Based

We are looking for a talented and experienced Design Director / Senior Designer to join our Singapore Team.

You will be a meticulous, organised and detail-oriented designer with a passion for working on high-end international restaurant and hotel interior design projects.

We'd like to find someone with the ambition to grow with the Singapore studio, becoming a long-term and integral part of the team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Working with the Creative Director, create and develop Creative Concepts for both new and existing hospitality brands

• Be able to lead a project through Concept Design, Schematic Design, Documentation and Fit-Out

• Innate ability to grasp a Client/Operator’s business model, brand, and project requirements

• Able to oversee the day-to-day management and delivery of multiple exciting projects and guide other team members accordingly to ensure work is produced and delivered to a high standard and all deadlines are met

• Report to the Creative Director and Client/Operator on project progress

Required Skills & Experience

• Solid experience working on international high-end luxury hospitality projects

• Extensive time working in a similar role(s)

• Proven experience of being involved in the fit-out stage of a project (not just design stages) and working with contractors/manufacturers/suppliers to monitor the quality of workmanship

• Excellent job running ability and project administration

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

• Excellent SketchUp ability

• Excellent technical detailing (AutoCAD) and ability to manage the production of coordinated documentation

• Extensive knowledge of FFE suitable for luxury hotel & hospitality projects

• Excellent knowledge of international building standards

• Familiar with the Riba work stages

• Familiar with hotel design programs and operator design standards

• Excellent Client presentation skills

• Positive attitude and self-motivated

• A willingness to travel on occasion (to destinations in Asia and/or Australia)
